Extensive input and testing from some of the world's best slalom racers have helped make this the unique, distinctive, high-performance line it is. Thin, lightweight, low camber, with a very stiff, yet super-responsive flex. The full nose and extra width through the length of the deck give you plenty of footroom and tons of leverage where you need it. Each model has 4 possible wheelbases in 1/2" increments. Sidewinders come standard in a stiff flex specifically calibrated for racing, but like all Insect boards, lighter and even stiffer flexes are available upon request. Sidewinders are available with birch or bamboo cores, sandwiched between a triaxial and unidirectional fiberglass exoskeleton. A super-tough, heat-cured epoxy resin binds it all together creating an extremely responsive flex. The peak of the camber is slightly forward of center where most of your weight and turning-power are centered. The logo is laminated into the glass matrix making it absolutely permanent.
