The Pintail shape is classic and this is our spin on it. The front is full, allowing for plenty of solid, forward foot placement and nose-riding. The narrow tail gives more flex (and total wheel clearance) in the rear letting you lay back and steer with the back truck. Sound odd? Try it! You'll like it.

This deck comes standard in a medium flex, but like all Insect boards, lighter and stiffer flexes are available to suit your weight or riding style. The Pintail is available with a birch or a bamboo-birch hybrid core, sandwiched between a triaxial and unidirectional fiberglass exoskeleton. A super-tough, heat-cured epoxy resin binds it all together creating an extremely responsive flex. The peak of the camber is slightly forward of center where most of your weight and turning-power are centered. The logo is laminated into the glass matrix making it absolutely permanent.

For an ultra-high performance system we offer Seismic trucks (155mm or 180mm) with a 45° fast-turning front truck and a 30° stable rear truck. This board can also be set up with 45° baseplates front and back to further increase its turning capabilities.
