Frequently Asked Questions

• What's the right flex for my weight?

Under 100lbs : Extra-light flex

100-150lbs : Light flex

150-200lbs : Medium flex

200-250lbs : Stiff flex

250lbs and up: Extra-stiff flex

These are best choices for most people and will give you the best flex and pump. However, there are no hard and fast rules about it. If you like a board flexier, go a step lighter. If you like your boards stiff, go a step stiffer.

• What's wheel "durometer" and what's the best one for me?

Durometer is the hardness of the urethane. The higher the number, the harder the wheel. Harder wheels are faster, but there's a tradeoff. The harder the wheel, the less traction it offers. Softer wheels, while offering more in terms of traction, offer less in terms of speed and also tend to wear out faster.

So the best choice for most people is to split it right down the middle and go with a durometer of 78a or 80a. They're soft enough to have lots of traction, yet hard enough to get serious speed.

• How should I choose the best truck width?

For the most power in turning you want your width of your trucks, with the wheels mounted, to be about the same width as the widest part of the deck. This gives you the best leverage. Though it's always possible to go with a wider truck, going narrower than those listed with the completes is not reccommended.

• Do you do custom work?

Custom work is possible within certain parameters and time limitations. Prices vary. If you're interested in a custom deck please contact us and we'll discuss it.
